The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality food for all service periods in our Restaurant, Brasserie, Fine dining, Bar food, Room Service and Afternoon tea.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Producing food to the highest standard in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assisting with the preparation of daily/weekly orders for food and kitchen supplies
  • Receiving and storing of all relevant food and non-food items
  • Assisting with daily menu planning and composition
  • Supporting the Head Chef with the design of menu items
  • Deputising for the Head Chef in their absence
  • Practising and promoting effective teamwork and communication
  • Cleaning duties within the kitchen
  • Ensuring compliance with in-house HACCP and food hygiene, health and safety systems

Requirements

  • Working 5 shifts per week, 40 hours per week with paid overtime
  • Demonstrating the ability to produce plated dishes to a rosette standard
  • Managing multi-menu requirements
  • Living locally or having the ability to relocate to the area with own transportation
