We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Youth Justice Officer to join our team at Hays Social Care. As a Youth Justice Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that young people receive the support and guidance they need to prevent offending and re-offending.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct assessments and write reports on young people and their families for court, panels, and professional meetings.
- Develop and implement effective interventions to prevent offending and re-offending.
- Work closely with young people, their families, and other professionals to ensure that they receive the support and guidance they need.
- Manage complex cases that pose a significant risk to others in the community.
- Relevant professional qualification to degree level in Youth Justice, Careers, Education & Guidance, Youth & Community, Probation Service, or Social Work.
- Extensive experience of undertaking assessments and writing reports.
- Experience of assessing and managing the risk of harm to others and protecting the public.
- Good knowledge of methods of youth justice intervention, child protection, and prevention.
