We are seeking experienced and qualified freelance interpreters to join our team at Language Empire.

About the Role

As a freelance interpreter, you will have the opportunity to work with various clients across different settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organizations.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for individuals who are fluent in English and another language, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.

You must be aged 21 or over and have the right to work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include interpreting for people using legal, health, and local government services, checking the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence, and liaising between the service user and service provider.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registered, or a Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages.
