Job Summary

Northumberland County Council is seeking a highly experienced Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities to fill the role of Service Manager at Sea Lodge, a CQC registered service providing nurse-led support to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

The successful candidate will have significant clinical experience in a senior post in a relevant setting, with a strong understanding of the clinical needs of adults with learning disabilities, including the treatment of behavioural disorders and mental health conditions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of registered nurses and social care staff to ensure high standards of care and treatment are maintained.
  • Facilitate and coordinate clinical practice within the service, in accordance with operational policy.
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to ensure the safety of service users.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to achieve service objectives and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Relevant nursing qualification (RNLD) with significant post-registration experience.
  • Ability to work shift rotas, including weekends and night-time working.
  • Flexibility to meet the transport requirements of the role.
