Role Summary

Job Title: Group Risk Manager

Company: BMS Group

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Risk Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the effective identification, management, and control of key risks across the BMS Group.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Risk Management: Develop and maintain the Group's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) system, with a focus on ongoing development and improvement of key aspects of the ERM framework.
  • Collaboration: Partner with business areas to provide support, advice, and challenge in the execution of their risk management responsibilities.
  • Communication: Manage and ensure effective communication of risk issues, controls, and exposures to relevant stakeholders, Boards, and Committees.
  • Reporting: Analyze relevant risk data and implement appropriate reporting to enable senior management to stay informed about risk issues.
  • Professional Development: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and conduct risk management training when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Risk Management Experience: Strong knowledge of risk management best practices and emerging risk management developments within financial services.
  • Leadership: Proven experience of operating effectively at senior management level and influencing Board/senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Sound understanding of regulation and legislation requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent IT skills and ability to pick up new systems quickly.
