Our venues are more than just clubhouses and courses, with versatile event spaces that can accommodate up to 300 guests, ideal for hosting a variety of functions and events, from weddings, conferences, banquets, business meetings, and lively social gatherings.

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Venue Sales Manager to focus on function and event sales, playing a crucial role in promoting and selling the club's function and event services to both individuals and businesses. This role is key to maximizing the utilization of the event venues beyond golf-related activities, with a focus on driving increased revenue through a proactive venue sales approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell the club's facilities and event services to achieve budgeted revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients, enhancing event sales opportunities.
  • Conduct site visits and showcase the venue and its event spaces to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with operational colleagues to develop tailored event proposals that meet client needs.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Manage event bookings, contracts, and invoicing with precision.
  • Attend networking events and trade shows to generate new leads and secure venue sales.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge in event sales.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in venue sales, preferably within the leisure, hospitality, or events industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to close deals effectively in the event sales space.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a focus on building and maintaining client relationships for venue sales.
  • A detail-oriented and organized approach, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of event planning and execution processes.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required to meet client needs in event sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software, with a focus on tracking venue sales performance.
