Job Description

Support the Growth and Profitability of the Store

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Retail Manager to support the growth and profitability of our store. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for implementing the retail plan and delivering KPI measures for your area of accountability.

Recruit and Develop Great Talent

You will be responsible for recruiting and developing great talent within the customer assistant team, supporting the succession requirements of the store and region. This includes coaching and training the team to fully utilize all the tools available to serve and sell well.

Support Safe and Legal Store Environment

You will support the store to trade safely and legally, protecting customers, colleagues, and the M&S brand. This includes maintaining a safe and legal store environment and ensuring that all process and tasks are delivered in line with business expectation and operating standards.

Drive Profitability and Sales

You will drive profitability and sales for your area through supporting the delivery of the Retail Plan and Store KPI's. This includes using data and insight to improve customer in-store experience, improve the operation, and drive performance.

Embed Change and Results

You will successfully embed change for lasting commercial impact and results. This includes spending time coaching colleagues to accelerate performance and personal growth, recognizing high performance, and supporting poor performers to improve.
