About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Account Executive to join our team at Brown & Brown Europe. As a key member of our insurance broking team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, identifying new business opportunities, and providing expert advice on commercial insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve new business and renewal targets by identifying and pursuing new opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Engage with our marketing strategy and promptly act on leads to drive new business growth.
  • Develop and maintain introducer relationships to expand our client base.
  • Generate own leads and effectively manage new business pipelines to drive revenue growth.
  • Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities with other departments to drive business growth.
  • Manage ongoing relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Expand client accounts by identifying additional sales opportunities and developing tailored insurance solutions.
  • Attend client visits and complete relevant fact-finding documents to inform new business and renewal decisions.
  • Review client demands and needs, and advise on the most appropriate insurance solutions to meet these.
  • Prepare broking notes for new business cases and work with colleagues to update renewal notes.
  • Agree broking strategies with colleagues and assist in the process where needed.
  • Review the broking exercise and complete final negotiations with underwriters as required.
  • Produce closing instructions in line with company procedures and pass to colleagues for processing.

Requirements
  • At least 5+ years of commercial insurance broking experience.
  • The ability to handle new business enquiries, renewals, and midterm adjustments of various insurance policies.
  • A good understanding of commercial insurance products, options, and markets.
  • Acturis insurance broking software knowledge is an advantage.
  • A full driving licence.
