Operations Director - Leisure Industry

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our team at a well-established and successful adventure park in the leisure industry. The park offers a wide range of activities, including trampolines, slides, soft play, and a café, catering to families and hosting large numbers of parties and themed events throughout the year.

The ideal candidate will be an inspirational leader and coach who can thrive in a fast-paced and fun environment, managing a large but relatively young team of staff, many working part-time. They will have 2+ years of management experience in a fast-paced leisure, hospitality, or retail operation, with a positive and proactive approach to managing a £1m+ turnover business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing all operational aspects of the venue, ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • The ongoing attraction, recruiting, coaching, and training of the team with extensive coaching and group training sessions.
  • Day-to-day management of the venue when on shift, with a key focus on health and safety and delivering brand standards.
  • Responsible for driving income across key secondary revenue lines - parties, F&B, and retail spend.
  • Working across all departments when required, front of house, café, on the floor, and ordering stock/consumables.
  • Responsible for dynamic rota management of team members based on footfall, ensuring labour percentages are achieved.
  • Develop and execute local sales and marketing plans, including management of social media.
  • Manager and record all incidents and any accidents that may occur while on shift.
  • You will be customer-facing and highly visible within the role, requiring first-class interpersonal and communication skills.

We offer a basic salary of up to £30,000, benefits including a health cash plan, 40% off F&B, free parking on site, and friends and family discounts.
