Global Communities Sub-Committee Chair

About the Role
The Methodist Church is seeking an experienced and committed individual to serve as the Chair of the Global Communities Sub-Committee. This role is a vital part of the Connexional team, responsible for reviewing the mission and ministry of the Global Communities work across the British Connexion.
The successful candidate will work closely with relevant Connexional team members to develop new ways of working across the Connexion and advise the Missions Committee on policies. They will also identify specific learning points from these Communities that can enrich the wider mission and ministry of the Methodist Church in Britain.
About You
We are looking for an individual with transferable skills, including previous experience as a Chair of Committees at Local, District, or Connexional Level. The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of the organisational arrangements of the Methodist Church and be able to think strategically.
The successful candidate will be a leader who can show humility, offer direction, and exercise sound judgement in working with others in the Methodist Church in Britain and within the Global Communities. They will also be able to work as part of a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the mission and ministry of the Global Communities work across the British Connexion
- Develop new ways of working across the Connexion
- Advise the Missions Committee on policies
- Identify specific learning points from these Communities
