Volunteer Ambassador for Global Methodist Communities

About the Role
The Global Communities Sub-Committee is seeking a dedicated volunteer to support their mission and ministry across the British Connexion.
As a member of this committee, you will work closely with relevant Connexional team members to develop new ways of working across the Connexion and advise the missions committee on policies.
You will also have the opportunity to learn from and contribute to discussions with other members of the sub-committee, as well as listen and learn from members of the Global Communities in the Methodist Church in Britain.
Key Responsibilities
- To contribute to the discussions and decision-making at meetings with other members of the sub-committee as appropriate.
- To be able to listen and learn from members of the Global Communities in the Methodist Church in Britain.
- To be able to work as part of a team.
About You
We are looking for an experienced and committed individual who has transferable skills and is passionate about making a difference in the Methodist Church.
You should be a member in good standing of the Methodist Church in Britain, have an awareness of the variety of contexts within the church, and a working knowledge of its organisational arrangements.
As a volunteer, you will not receive a salary, but some additional expenses can be agreed upon. The provisional appointment start date is January 2025, subject to approval by the Missions Committee.
