About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Building Standards professional to join our team as a Workforce Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of professionals in delivering high-quality building standards services to the community.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily management of a team of Building Standards staff, providing authoritative and professional support to deliver our service effectively. The role involves working closely with other teams within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability to achieve Council and NRS targets and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Building Standards staff to ensure effective delivery of our service
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on building standards matters
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve shared goals
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of building standards principles and practices
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience of managing a team or similar experience
