About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lived Experience Coordinator to join our team at The Forward Trust. As a Lived Experience Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals and overcome challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide peer support and guidance to individuals with complex needs, helping them to develop coping strategies and achieve their goals.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive support and guidance to individuals, including those with mental health issues, addiction, and offending behavior.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure effective support and guidance.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized support plans, ensuring that they are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on issues related to lived experience, mental health, and addiction.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with individuals with complex needs, including those with mental health issues, addiction, and offending behavior.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
  • Knowledge of mental health, addiction, and offending behavior, with a strong understanding of the impact of these issues on individuals and communities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the development and implementation of individualized support plans.
