Job Title: Lived Experience Coordinator

Join the East London NHS Foundation Trust team as a Lived Experience Coordinator and play a vital role in promoting service user involvement and peer support work.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an innovative trauma-informed team, committed to promoting a culture of co-production with the people using the service and proactively addressing the experiences of marginalized groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and direct the development of lived experience practitioner work and peer support work.
  • Support and encourage partnership working with ELFT staff and ELFT Peer Support Workers.
  • Deliver a training programme for Peer Support Workers.
  • Work towards the development of Peer Support Work as a profession.
  • Work with service users, carers, and staff to ensure a high-quality, consistent service is offered to all.
  • Participate in the Trust Quality Improvement Programme as a leader of QI initiatives and a participant.
Person Specification:
  • Education/Qualification/Training: Essential - Educated to degree or has gained equivalent level of work experience, A willingness to undertake further training and/or qualifications.
  • Experience: Essential - Experience of working as a Peer Support Worker, Personal experience of mental health problems or caring for someone with mental health problems, The ability to demonstrate sound practical experience and understanding of current issues and challenges.
