About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Inclusion and Involvement team as a Lived Experience Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a trauma-informed team that is committed to promoting a culture of co-production with the people using our service.

Job Summary

This role will involve working with service users, carers, and staff to ensure a high-quality, consistent service is offered to all. You will be responsible for supporting and directing the development of lived experience practitioner work and peer support work, as well as delivering a training programme for Peer Support Workers.

Main Duties
  • Support and direct the development of lived experience practitioner work and peer support work.
  • Deliver a training programme for Peer Support Workers.
  • Work towards the development of Peer Support Work as a profession.
  • Participate in the Trust Quality Improvement Programme as a leader of QI initiatives and a participant.
  • Undertake some face-to-face peer support work with service users as a senior practitioner in the field, carrying a reduced caseload.
  • Offer training to frontline staff in best practices.
  • Challenge poor practices and offer viable innovative alternatives.
  • Promote membership opportunities to service users and carers, and support their involvement in membership activity.
