Polaris Community is seeking a skilled Social Work Supervisor to lead the foster care team in Essex. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising foster parents, promoting the welfare of children placed with us.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Direct support of foster parents within a realistic caseload
  • Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents, enabling and monitoring their practice
  • Collaborate with local authorities, stakeholders, and other professionals to ensure high-quality care for children

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social work, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality practice. A comprehensive working knowledge of fostering regulations, child care law, and safeguarding legislation is essential.

We offer a competitive salary of up to £37,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a car allowance, annual leave, company pension, life assurance, and employee discounts.

This role requires flexibility, as you will be working across Hampshire and surrounding areas. A full driving licence with unrestricted access to your own vehicle is necessary.
