Teaching Personnel

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Teaching Assistant to support Primary age pupils with Autism in a classroom setting.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who require additional support due to complex needs around Autism.

The role involves providing individualized support to students, developing strategies to aid their learning and development, and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with Autism/ADHD/Behavioural Issues in a classroom setting.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to aid student learning and development.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and behavior.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to ensure effective support is provided.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Experience working with children with Autism or similar conditions.

A strong understanding of child development and learning principles.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A high level of empathy and patience when working with students.

An enhanced DBS check (we will support with the process).

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm. We offer competitive pay (£25,000-£30,000 per annum) and a range of benefits including statutory holiday pay and opportunities for career development.

Please note that this is a temporary position, but there may be an opportunity to make it permanent in the future.
