Management Accountant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our finance function, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our financial processes and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management Accounts: Assist in the timely and accurate production of management accounts, ensuring that financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Financial Systems: Support the implementation of Management Information systems and provide real-time financial updates to stakeholders.
  • Reconciliations: Perform monthly balance sheet and nominal ledger reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Ledger Management: Ensure accurate posting of sales and purchase ledger invoices and payments, maintaining a high level of financial integrity.
  • Budgeting: Aid in the annual business planning cycle and budget preparation, working closely with the Finance Director and other stakeholders.
  • Income Reconciliation: Reconcile income from F&B outlets, donations, and memberships, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Journal Entries: Prepare and post journals within month-end deadlines, maintaining a high level of financial accuracy.
  • Collaboration: Develop collaborative relationships with other departments to understand their financial needs and provide support accordingly.
  • Year-End Accounts: Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and work with auditors to ensure compliance.
  • Cashflow Monitoring: Monitor and report on the organisation's cashflow, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Payroll: Ensure payroll is prepared and submitted to the outsourced payroll service on time, maintaining a high level of financial accuracy.
  • VAT and Gift Aid: Prepare VAT and Gift Aid returns for review, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Management Accountant who is AAT qualified, with a strong background in financial management and analysis. If you are a self-motivated individual with excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Excel, and a proven track record in a similar role or related area, we would love to hear from you.
