We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Management Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting all aspects of our finance function.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Reporting: Assist in the timely and accurate production of management accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Financial Systems: Support the implementation of Management Information systems and provide real-time financial updates to stakeholders.
- Reconciliations: Perform monthly balance sheet and nominal ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ledger Management: Ensure accurate posting of sales and purchase ledger invoices and payments, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Budgeting: Aid in the annual business planning cycle and budget preparation, working closely with the Finance Director and other stakeholders.
- Income Reconciliation: Reconcile income from F&B outlets, donations, and memberships, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Journal Entries: Prepare and post journals within month-end deadlines, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaboration: Develop collaborative relationships with other departments to understand their financial needs and provide support accordingly.
- Year-End Accounts: Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and work with auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Cashflow Monitoring: Monitor and report on the organisation's cashflow, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Payroll: Ensure payroll is prepared and submitted to the outsourced payroll service on time, maintaining a high level of accuracy and compliance.
- VAT and Gift Aid: Prepare VAT and Gift Aid returns for review, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Management Accountant who is AAT qualified, with a strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. If you are a self-motivated individual with excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Excel, and a proven track record in a similar role or related area, we would love to hear from you.
