We are seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing debts and ensuring timely payments from customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough credit checks on new customers to assess their creditworthiness
  • Chase overdue invoices through various channels, including telephone, email, and letter
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all chasing activity
  • Negotiate payment plans with customers to ensure timely payments
  • Handle customer queries regarding outstanding invoices in a professional and courteous manner
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner
  • Analyse financial data to identify potential credit risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve payment issues and ensure smooth financial operations
Requirements:
  • Experience in credit control or a similar financial role, preferably in a similar industry
  • Proficiency in accounting software and data entry, with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and phone etiquette skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers
  • Knowledge of financial services and telemarketing techniques, with a strong understanding of credit control principles
What We Offer:

A permanent position with a competitive salary of £28,000-£30,000 per year, working in a small, close-knit team in a fully office-based environment.
