About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced physiotherapist to lead the development of our prehabilitation service at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a specialist interest in prehabilitation and a strong background in oncology and surgical physiotherapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the prehabilitation service for the Trust, working with the Occupational Therapist, Dietician, and support workers to provide a high-quality evidence-based service.
  • Develop and implement a clinical caseload within the BHRUT surgical cancer pathway for all cancer types, using evidence-based and client-centered principles.
  • Contribute to the clinical leadership of the Prehabilitation Service, planning, developing, and evaluating the service within their area of specialism.
  • Lead in audit and service evaluation, including data collection and establishing clear outcome measures to inform future development of a sustainable model of care and associated business cases.
