Job Summary:

Devon County Council is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Atkinson Secure Children's Home in Exeter. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to young people aged 10-17 who have been granted a secure accommodation order by the courts.

About the Role:

  • Provide a safe and therapeutic environment for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to support the young people's education, training, and life skills.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide intensive support and intervention.
  • Use positive behaviour management techniques to de-escalate conflicts and promote a calm environment.
  • Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
