We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Children and Family Support Worker to join our team at Essex County Council. As a Specialist Children and Family Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and families with complex needs, promoting positive change and providing specialist advice and guidance.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with families to build strong relationships and provide support to achieve positive outcomes.
- Develop and implement effective support plans to address the needs of children and families.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance to families, professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Manage a caseload of complex cases, prioritizing and coordinating support services to meet the needs of children and families.
- Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting children and families.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve outcomes for children and families.
- Significant experience of working with children and families with complex needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families, professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing and managing a caseload of complex cases.
- Knowledge of child development, child protection, and family support principles and practices.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of children and families.
