Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Assessor - Active Devices to join our dynamic team at SGS. This exciting opportunity will allow you to leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to make a significant impact in the field of certification.

The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of EU regulations and standards, with a proven track record of conducting thorough technical documentation reviews. Additionally, they will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide and support a team of product assessors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting and guiding a team of talented product assessors in their technical development and growth
  • Conducting technical documentation reviews to ensure compliance with EU regulations and standards
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and quality improvements
  • Mentoring team members on technical competence, KPIs, and wellbeing
  • Recruiting and onboarding new team members, including reviewing CVs and conducting interviews
  • Developing and delivering training programs for SGS staff and external stakeholders
  • Providing expert technical advice and support to clients within the active medical devices field
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of four years of professional experience in the healthcare products or related activities, including two years in design, manufacture, testing, or use of devices or technologies to be assessed
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of active medical devices, including monitoring equipment, therapeutic devices, and software devices
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant EU regulations and standards, including EN 60601 and EN 62304
  • Excellent written English skills, as reports will be reviewed and queried in English
  • Desirable knowledge of Technical File codes as per COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) 2017/2185
