About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Internal Communications and Employee Engagement Lead to join our client, a leading global FMCG firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, leading, and driving internal communications and engagement activities to foster a sense of belonging, purpose, and collective ambition across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy, annual plan, and execution schedule aligned with our organisational purpose, ambition, and strategy.
  • Identify and target key internal audiences and channels for communication, develop engaging content, and seek ways to continuously improve.
  • Lead all UK employee engagement activities, including proactive engagement survey management and affiliate action planning.
  • Manage internal engagement surveys, taking a view on all employee listening and survey activity across the UK.
  • Work with multiple sources of data across the employee journey, both quantitative and qualitative, translating into validated insights for action plans.

Requirements

  • A track record in developing and delivering internal communication strategies for a global workforce, preferably at a corporate level in a large and matrixed global organisation.
  • Skills in setting appropriate measurement frameworks and metrics and using data to make informed decisions.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across all levels of the organisation and the ability to work collaboratively with many individuals and teams to gain their trust and support.
  • Strong business and commercial awareness and cultural understanding to build an internal comms strategy.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to translate complicated information into clear, concise language.
