**Job Description**

As a Child Development Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and development of children with special educational needs. This position involves creating a nurturing environment that promotes learning and development through effective communication and tailored educational strategies.

**Responsibilities:**

  1. Provide direct support to children, ensuring their safety and well-being during activities.
  2. Engage with children in educational play, promoting cognitive and social development.
  3. Communicate effectively with children, adapting language and methods to suit individual needs.
  4. Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for children with special educational needs.
  5. Collaborate with educators and parents to share observations and progress updates.
  6. Support children during daily routines, including meal times, transitions, and recreational activities.

**Qualifications:**

  1. Relevant experience working with children, particularly in a supportive or educational capacity.
  2. Knowledge of toddler care practices is advantageous.
  3. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children of varying abilities.
  4. Experience or training in working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.

**Salary Range:** £23,000 - £30,000 per annum. We offer a competitive salary package that reflects your experience and qualifications.
