CNC Machine Engineer / Technical Support

Staffbase Recruitment is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Engineer / Technical Support to join our client's team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading manufacturer of CNC, cutting, and milling machinery.

The Role:

As a CNC Machine Engineer / Technical Support, you will provide professional technical support and advice to customers and engineers to resolve machine breakdowns, assist with machine installations, and commission software updates. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical advice by telephone, email, and remote online access
  • Processing incoming spare and replacement parts orders/enquiries from engineers and customers
  • Investigating and resolving technical/engineering queries over the phone
  • Maintaining and updating field service engineer work schedules and planning/coordinating customer visits as appropriate
  • Processing engineers' job sheets and updating the CRM system
  • Maintaining training records and booking training for engineers as and when necessary
  • Attending occasional machine breakdowns and installations with field service engineers

Candidate:

You will be a competent multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias and ideally have previous experience with automated machinery, such as CNC, packaging, and robotics. You will have an HNC or HND qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering. Good electrical fault-finding and repair skills are essential, and ideally, you will have good PLC controls fault-finding and repair skills.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday, 40 hours
