CNC Machine Engineer

Our client, a leading manufacturer of CNC, cutting, and milling machinery, is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Engineer / Technical Support to join their team. As a key member of the technical support team, you will provide professional technical support and advice to customers and engineers to resolve machine breakdowns, assist with machine installations and commissioning, and roll out software updates.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical advice by telephone, email, and using remote online access to resolve customer queries and machine breakdowns.
- Investigate and resolve technical/engineering queries over the phone, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Maintain and update field service engineer work schedules and plan & coordinate customer visits as appropriate.
- Process engineers' job sheets and update the CRM system to ensure accurate records.
- Maintain training records and book training for engineers as necessary to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Attend occasional machine breakdowns and installations with field service engineers to provide on-site support.
You will be a competent multi-skilled engineer (with electrical bias) and ideally have previous experience with automated machinery, e.g., CNC, packaging, robotics. You will have an HNC or HND qualification in either mechanical and/or electrical engineering. Applicants with good electrical fault-finding and repair skills are essential, and ideally, you will have good PLC controls fault-finding and repair skills.
Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
