CNC Machine Engineer / Technical Support

Staffbase Recruitment is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Engineer / Technical Support to join our client's team. As a key member of the technical support team, you will provide expert advice and assistance to customers and engineers to resolve machine breakdowns, install and commission new equipment, and implement software updates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support via phone, email, and remote online access to resolve customer queries and machine issues.
  • Investigate and resolve technical/engineering queries over the phone, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Maintain and update field service engineer work schedules, coordinating customer visits as necessary.
  • Process engineers' job sheets and update the CRM system to ensure accurate records.
  • Maintain training records and book training for engineers as required.
  • Attend occasional machine breakdowns and installations with field service engineers to provide on-site support.
Requirements:

We are looking for a competent multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias, ideally with experience in automated machinery, such as CNC, packaging, and robotics. A HNC or HND qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering is essential, along with good electrical fault-finding and repair skills. PLC controls fault-finding and repair skills are also desirable.

Working Hours and Benefits:

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will receive an excellent basic salary, company car, 33 days annual leave, and a pension scheme.
