CNC Machine Engineer / Technical Support

Our client, a leading manufacturer of CNC, cutting, and milling machinery, is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Engineer / Technical Support to join their team. As a key member of the technical support team, you will provide professional technical support and advice to customers and engineers to resolve machine breakdowns, assist with machine installations, and roll out software updates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical advice by telephone, email, and remote online access to customers and engineers.
  • Investigate and resolve technical/engineering queries over the phone.
  • Maintain and update field service engineer work schedules and plan & coordinate customer visits as appropriate.
  • Process engineers' job sheets and update the CRM system.
  • Maintain training records and book training for engineers as necessary.
  • Attend occasional machine breakdowns and installations with field service engineers.
Requirements:

You will be a competent multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias and ideally have previous experience with automated machinery, e.g., CNC, packaging, robotics. You will have an HNC or HND qualification in either mechanical and/or electrical engineering. Applicants with good electrical fault-finding and repair skills are essential, and ideally, you will have good PLC controls fault-finding and repair skills.

What We Offer:

Excellent basic salary £38K - £42K + OT, Company Car, 33 days annual leave, and Pension.
