About the Role

MarketAxess Holdings Inc. is a leading financial technology company that enables the shift from analog, phone-based trading to a fully electronic marketplace.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to support our approach to surveillance of trading venues across EMEA & APAC. The ideal candidate will have strong data analytical skills, a core understanding of market abuse regulations, and the ability to think critically.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and closing market surveillance alerts, calibrating and tailoring monitoring systems, and producing and reviewing MI on surveillance activity.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and close market surveillance alerts to identify suspicious behaviour.
  • Calibrate and tailor monitoring systems to ensure optimal alert generation and reduce false positives.
  • Produce and review MI on surveillance activity to support the Senior Surveillance Officer in reporting to Boards and governance committees.
  • Assist the Senior Surveillance Officer in performing the annual market abuse risk assessment (MARA) for each trading venue across EMEA & APAC.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working in UK/EU financial services firms, with some experience working in Compliance, preferably in regulated electronic trading platforms, market infrastructure and trading firms.
  • Strong academic qualifications required; STEM degree highly regarded.
  • Experience working in market surveillance preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience in market abuse preferred.
