Lancashire Constabulary is seeking volunteers to join its Fraud Safeguarding Team, providing essential support to vulnerable victims of fraud. Your role as a volunteer will be multifaceted:
Key Responsibilities- Assist victims in drafting correspondence to banks and financial institutions to facilitate refunds.
- Fitting trueCALL devices to telephone landlines to prevent nuisance calls and empower individuals against repeat victimization.
- Represent the team at events such as colleges, universities, and community gatherings to raise awareness about fraud prevention.
- Collaborate with banks and public areas to educate members of the public on recognizing and avoiding fraudulent activities.
The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, empathy for vulnerable individuals, and an ability to work independently.
The estimated salary for this position is £12-15 per hour, reflecting the valuable contributions you will make to the Lancashire Constabulary's efforts in preventing financial crime.
