About the Role

As a key member of our Welfare team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel, both military and civilian. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding practices, ensuring compliance with Governmental and Army policies, and providing guidance to staff on safeguarding responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Governmental and Army regulations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to staff on safeguarding responsibilities, including Disclosure and Barring Service clearance processes.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maintain effective communication and collaboration on safeguarding matters.
  • Conduct training sessions and presentations to educate staff on safeguarding best practices and ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in safeguarding and compliance, preferably with experience in a similar role within the Ministry of Defence or a related organisation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet changing priorities and deadlines.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £35,290 per annum, plus benefits such as 25 days paid annual leave (rising to 30 days after five years' service), a highly competitive pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development and growth.

Location

This role is based at the Infantry Training Centre in Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire. We offer flexible working arrangements and a supportive work environment that promotes work-life balance.
