Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Gray Healthcare. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with Organic Personality Disorder and dysarthria as a result of brain injury, who is living independently in their own home with 2:1 support 24 hours a day.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience in social care, ideally within mental health, and will be able to provide encouragement to a person with complex health needs and Learning Disabilities. You will also have experience supporting individuals with behaviours which may be considered challenging and implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality support to the individual, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to ensure the individual's needs are met.
  • Implement and maintain detailed care plans and risk assessments.
  • Support the individual with daily living tasks, including personal care and medication management.
  • Encourage the individual to engage in activities that promote their physical and mental health.

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Experience in social care, ideally within mental health.
  • Ability to provide encouragement to a person with complex health needs and Learning Disabilities.
  • Experience supporting individuals with behaviours which may be considered challenging.
  • Ability to implement detailed care plans and risk assessments.
