Supporting a Gentleman with ABI

Gray Healthcare is seeking an experienced Support Worker to join our team in Salford, Manchester. The successful candidate will be supporting a gentleman with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) in a 2-bedroom flat in Clipper Keys, Salford.

The Role

We are looking for a Support Worker who has a manual driving license to drive the mobility vehicle and has experience working with individuals with complex needs, particularly ABI, Autism, Learning Disabilities, ADHD, and Mental Health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the gentleman with daily living tasks, including personal care and mobility
  • Encourage and facilitate the gentleman's interests, such as fitness and healthy eating
  • Assist with trips out in the car, including supporting his local football team and listening to music
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed support records

Requirements

  • Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards the qualification
  • Manual driving license
  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs
  • Ability to manage difficult situations calmly and work within agreed evidence-based PBS plans
