Category Manager Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Category Manager to join our team at We Manage Jobs (WMJobs). As an Assistant Category Manager, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of the sourcing and supply strategy for our Adult Social Care category.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake user needs analysis, market research, and sourcing activity to identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
- Structure tenders, engage with the market, and evaluate tenders to ensure the best value for money.
- Negotiate and agree contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with our procurement policies and procedures.
- Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including stakeholder management and communication.
- Work closely with our Adult Social Care team to understand their needs and develop a sourcing and supply strategy that meets their requirements.
- Previous experience in a procurement or commercial environment, preferably in the public sector.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience of stakeholder management, with a strong understanding of the needs of our Adult Social Care team.
- Desirable: experience of public sector procurement and commissioning.
