Category Manager Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Category Manager to join our team at We Manage Jobs (WMJobs). As an Assistant Category Manager, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of the sourcing and supply strategy for our Adult Social Care category.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake user needs analysis, market research, and sourcing activity to identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
- Structure tenders, engage with the market, and evaluate tenders to ensure the best value for money.
- Negotiate contracts and manage all contractual matters to ensure compliance and effective delivery.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
- Provide commercial and procurement expertise to support the development of the sourcing and supply strategy.
- Previous experience in a procurement or commercial environment, preferably in the public sector.
- Strong commercial acumen with a robust understanding of risk and its management.
- Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to analyze, interpret, and present complex information.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Experience of public sector procurement and commissioning is desirable.
