About the Role

In this rewarding part-time/supply position, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) at our education center in Dunstable. As an Education Assistant, you will work closely with our dedicated team to provide tailored support and create a conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work collaboratively with the SENCO and other specialists to develop and implement personalized education plans that cater to each child's needs.
  2. Provide one-on-one or group support to SEN pupils, adapting your approach to meet their unique learning styles and abilities.
  3. Assist teachers and other staff members in delivering lessons and ensuring a smooth learning experience for all students.
  4. Prepare and organize resources and materials to enhance learning opportunities and promote student engagement.
Job Requirements
  1. Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and staff.
  3. A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to meeting the diverse needs of students.
  4. Relevant qualifications in Supporting Teaching and Learning (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) are a plus but not essential.
  5. Local commute to Dunstable.
  6. Holds a full driving license.
