Job Overview

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Registered Manager to lead a new 7-bed Mental Health service in Merthyr Tydfil.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a strong background in adult mental health care management to shape the future of our services while maintaining high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the team to ensure person-centered care delivery.
  • Conduct regular reviews of residents' needs and develop comprehensive care plans with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with mental health care practices, legislation, and regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and guidelines.
Compensation Package

The successful candidate will receive a salary of £42,000 per annum, plus up to 21% bonus of their salary.

In addition, they will enjoy a full-time contract with 37.5 hours per week, 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), and access to an Employee Benefits Scheme offering shopping discounts, technology scheme, blue light card, and cycle-to-work schemes.

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 5 or Diploma in Health and Social Care Management
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a mental health care setting with a strong understanding of mental health complexities and challenges.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices governing mental health care, including the Mental Health Act and CIW standards.
  • A compassionate and person-centered approach to care.
  • Experience with care management systems and Microsoft Office suite.
