Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Manager to lead a new 7-bed Mental Health service in Merthyr Tydfil.

The successful candidate will provide strong leadership and direction to the team to ensure person-centered care delivery.

They will work closely with the Area Manager and Senior Leadership team to deliver quality services to our clients.

The Registered Manager will also be responsible for managing relationships with stakeholders and implementing our vision and values to provide exceptional service.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the team to ensure person-centered care delivery.
  • Conduct regular reviews of residents' needs and develop comprehensive care plans with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with mental health care practices, legislation, and regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and guidelines.
Compensation Package

The salary for this role is £42,000 per annum, plus up to 21% bonus of your salary.

You will also receive a full-time contract with 37.5 hours per week, 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), and access to an Employee Benefits Scheme offering shopping discounts, technology scheme, blue light card, and cycle-to-work schemes.

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 5 or Diploma in Health and Social Care Management
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a mental health care setting with a strong understanding of mental health complexities and challenges.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices governing mental health care, including the Mental Health Act and CIW standards.
  • A compassionate and person-centered approach to care.
  • Experience with care management systems and Microsoft Office suite.
