We're seeking a skilled Operations Technician to join our team at Torness Station. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, smooth, and reliable operation of our nuclear power plant.

About the Role

As an Operations Technician, you'll be responsible for monitoring the plant's condition, identifying and resolving sub-standard conditions, performing minor tool pouch maintenance, and reporting civil defects through our helpdesk processes. You'll also respond to requests from the control room to investigate plant alarms and perform required operations.

Key Responsibilities

  4. Work effectively within a team environment to ensure safe and reliable operations

Requirements

We're looking for someone with previous operational or engineering work experience in a heavy process environment, supported by relevant qualifications. You should have a strong focus on safety and be able to follow written process instructions and complete paperwork accurately. A good level of computer literacy is also essential, including proficiency in programmes like Word and Excel.
