Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Assistant Manager to join our team at EG Group. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for managing the store in the absence of the site manager, promoting sales, increasing profitability, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory and stock control, including weekly stock takes and reports.
  • Ensure external sale items are stocked and presented.
  • Meet fuel stock holding targets by checking current fuel volumes, stock at site, and delivery plans.
  • Drive down waste and inefficiency.
  • Review and adapt processes and procedures to improve efficiency and maximize output.
  • Handle customer inquiries.
  • Report any store or employee issues to the Store Manager.
  • Ensure Health & Safety, Food Safety, and hygiene procedures and standards are maintained and followed.
  • Ensure all cash is banked and calculated correctly.
  • Check floats and cashing up is done correctly.
  • Complete cashing/banking summaries and reports and perform relevant checks.
  • Adhere to Challenge 25 policies on age-restricted items and checking and logging IDs.
