We are in search of a responsible, enthusiastic, and strong leader to become part of our management team. This individual will serve as the second-in-command during the absence of the site manager, while overseeing, mentoring, and inspiring the team.

What will my responsibilities entail?
As an Assistant Manager, you will oversee store operations in the absence of management. Your leadership skills will be essential in ensuring the team functions effectively, driving sales, enhancing profitability, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee inventory management and stock control, including weekly stock assessments and reporting.
  • Ensure promotional items are adequately stocked and well-presented.
  • Monitor fuel stock levels to meet targets by checking current volumes and delivery schedules.
  • Continuously seek to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Evaluate and refine processes to enhance productivity and output.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Report any store or personnel issues to the Store Manager.
  • Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure accurate banking and cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Verify cash floats and ensure proper cashing up.
  • Complete banking summaries and perform necessary checks.
  • Adhere to age-restricted item policies and ensure proper ID verification.
