Role: Retail Assistant Manager

As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for managing the store in the absence of the site manager, ensuring seamless operations and driving sales growth.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage inventory and stock control, including weekly stock takes and reports.
  • Ensure external sale items are stocked and presented to meet customer expectations.
  • Meet target fuel stock holding by monitoring current fuel volumes, stock levels, and delivery plans.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and inefficiency.
  • Review and adapt procedures to optimize efficiency and maximize output.
  • Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Report any store or employee issues to the Store Manager.
  • Ensure Health & Safety, Food Safety, and hygiene procedures are maintained and followed.
  • Manage cash handling, including banking and reconciliations.
  • Adhere to Challenge 25 policies on age-restricted items and logging IDs.
