What will the role entail?
As an Assistant Manager, you will oversee store operations in the absence of management. Your leadership skills will be essential in ensuring the team functions efficiently, driving sales, enhancing profitability, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee inventory management and stock control, including conducting weekly stock assessments and generating reports.
  • Ensure promotional items are adequately stocked and visually appealing.
  • Monitor fuel stock levels to meet targets by assessing current volumes and delivery schedules.
  • Continuously strive to minimize waste and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate and refine processes to boost productivity and maximize results.
  • Address customer inquiries effectively.
  • Report any operational or personnel issues to the Store Manager.
  • Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure accurate banking and cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Verify cash floats and oversee cashing up processes.
  • Complete cash summaries and reports, ensuring all checks are performed.
  • Adhere to age-restricted item policies and ensure proper ID verification.
