About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a prestigious 4* golf hotel in Peebles. This is a permanent position that offers temporary live-in accommodation and the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a beautiful resort setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and food preparation, ensuring the highest quality of dishes and presentation.
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of culinary operations, implementing new ideas and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring the highest quality of ingredients and products.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and delicious menus, catering to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a reputable resort or hotel, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety regulations, and health and safety protocols.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on attention to detail and quality control.
