Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a prestigious 4-star golf hotel in Peebles. This is a permanent position that offers temporary live-in accommodation and the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a beautiful resort setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and food preparation, ensuring the highest quality of dishes and presentation.
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of culinary operations, implementing new ideas and techniques to enhance the dining experience.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu concepts, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Profile of Successful Candidate:
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a reputable resort or hotel, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences, with a focus on using only the freshest and highest-quality ingredients.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of kitchen staff.
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety regulations, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
