Job Title: Senior Financial Advisor

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated finance professional to join the NHS Finance Department as a Senior Financial Advisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial support and advice to the East Division, helping to deliver the Board's healthcare priorities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounting and business partnering functions to support the East Division.
  • Provide professional financial support, advice, and information to the East Division to enable effective budget management and financial performance.
  • Ensure financial activities and systems align with corporate policies and procedures, meeting the highest standards of stewardship and probity.
  • Support the Assistant Chief Finance Officer, Chief Finance Officer, and Divisional Management Teams in performance review and financial issue identification.
Requirements:
  • CCAB qualification or actively studying.
  • Senior finance experience in a large organization.
  • Experience in management accounting, sustainability, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting procedures, NHS legislation, and policy.
  • Excellent IT skills, including advanced spreadsheet and database designing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and numerically.
  • Flexible and open approach.
  • Project management skills, including work planning, organization, and prioritization.
Working Environment:

The post is offered on a full-time substantive basis, based in Mold, Flintshire, with some flexibility to work from home during the week.
