About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Financial Advisor to join our Finance Department at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering the Board's Continuing Health Care priorities and providing financial support and advice to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality financial advice and support to Finance and Operational leads, ensuring sound financial management reporting within the Health Board.
  • Responsible for setting, maintaining, and monitoring budgets allocated to Divisions and CHC Operational Teams, with a focus on delivering financial performance and efficiency.
  • Contribute to the completion of monthly Welsh Government monitoring returns, annual accounts, and provide expert advice and financial forecasting analysis to Senior Finance colleagues.
  • Manage the two CHC Finance Teams, ensuring effective management and meeting reporting, payment, and query resolution deadlines.
Requirements
  • Student accountant member of CCAB institute or relevant and significant experience.
  • ECDL qualified.
  • Senior finance experience in a large organization, with a focus on Management Accounting, Sustainability, and Reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial and accounting procedures, including NHS Legislation and policy.
  • Experience of data manipulation, investigation, and analysis, with excellent IT skills and knowledge.
  • Demonstrable ability to work on multiple complex tasks simultaneously and produce high-quality work within tight deadlines.
Desirable
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Welsh and English.
  • Flexible and open approach, with demonstrable project management skills.
