Job Title: Senior Financial Advisor - East Division

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated finance professional to join the Finance Department at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) in North Wales. As a Senior Financial Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the East Division in achieving its financial targets and ensuring the effective management of its budgets and finances.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional financial support and advice to the East Division, including management accounting and business partnering functions.
  • Ensure that the Division's financial activities and systems are in line with corporate policies and procedures, and meet the highest standards of stewardship and probity.
  • Support the Assistant Chief Finance Officer, Chief Finance Officer, and Divisional Management Teams in performance review and highlighting financial issues that need to be addressed.
About the Role:

This is a full-time substantive position based in Mold, Flintshire, with some flexibility to work from home during the week. You will be part of a dynamic team that is committed to promoting equality and diversity, and is proud to welcome applicants under the Disability Confident Employer scheme.

Requirements:
  • Be a CCAB qualified accountant (or actively studying) with experience in managing a finance team.
  • Have an awareness of community and primary care services within the NHS.
  • Be able to communicate effectively in writing, through numeric and statistical presentation, and verbally.
  • Have excellent IT skills and knowledge, including advanced spreadsheet and database designing skills.
